Here's what some of my clients said about the results.... (......all testimonials are edited independently for absolute authenticity.)
| Working with Margaret has taken my career to a level I never imagined. I'm enjoying more money and more responsibility.
I now have a clearer identity in the marketplace and I find it much easier to articulate 'Who I am' and 'What I do', because I KNOW for the first time. I'm working smarter, not harder.
Before working with Margaret, my personal marketing and promotional efforts were inconsistent, more or less hit or miss, I wasn't reaching new potential employers and I was trying to be everything to to everyone. Since working with Margaret, the tools I am using are that much more effective and I am more consistent and efficient in my efforts.
Since our work together I have been able to use the simple tools we put in place together to keep a steady stream of recruiters finding their way to me with little or no effort on my part. I not only understand now what marketing is, I see how effective it can be and I quite like doing it.
Working with Margaret isn't magic or rocket science. She's consistent, effective, always learning about what works better, smarter, faster and she passes it directly on. I would be delighted to speak to anyone who wants to hear it from the horse's mouth (a real live client) that she delivers on her promises.
Although I don't wish my contact details to appear on the web, I am happy to talk to anyone via Margaret. She has earned my complete trust.

If I were to say that Margaret helped me to add to my existing career through her coaching techniques, I'd be lying. The truth is that Margaret has made my career what it is today and what it will be tomorrow.
Margaret has been a collaborator, a friend and advocate to my career. Under her expert guidance, I have defined clear, achievable goals, identified specific markets that will want my services, gained a confidence in networking that I never possessed before and most importantly killed the ugly phantom of self-promotion that had held me back for so long.
Margaret has great instincts, an inquisitive spirit and she genuinely cares for her clients. Insightful ideas seem to flow effortlessly from her and she makes the process fun.
Does Margaret's system work? Yes. Will you benefit from talking to her? Yes Should you call her? Yes. Feel free to contact me anytime regarding Margaret. It's always a pleasure to spread the word about her.

| There are so many accolades, I could give you about Margaret Stead, but why not tell you the most impressive? After working with Margaret for less than two months, I've already received seven interviews and five job three job offers.
Not only does she give you the formula for how to attract jobs, her materials and resources alone are worth the price of her services. She has saved me weeks and months of trying to re-invent a wheel that she has mastered and generously shares the how-to. Her coaching is a must for any professional in their career.
"I believe in learning from the best - Margaret is without question a skilled, caring, smart and effective coach. As a person from the public sector background, self promotion and applications were very challenging. With Margaret's guidance, support and assistance, I have been able to make systematic and continuous changes that have reaped immediate results - all while being me.
Before working with Margaret, I did not have a clear idea of what I wanted to do. After working with her for just a month, I have identified a specific target population and have been able to clearly articulate what I can do.
If anyone is unsure of the value of Margaret's coaching program, please feel free to email me.' article.architect@googlemail.com

| As I look back upon the goals that I set down in Margaret's Skills/Knowledge Portfolio, I almost laugh now at how uncertain and how naive I sound to myself now. Everything I've wanted to do, I've achieved within the time frame, often sooner. Margaret has not only taught me many invaluable tools for marketing my career, but has also been a wise and caring advisor on various issues.
Where I am today as a person and where I was when I met Margaret, is night and day. We're not talking about a long-time. In three months I've grown enormously and accomplished so much. Everything I imagined is now viable. I must say there is very little self-doubt anymore. Watching the growth and development of my business, makes me feel that I can accomplish any goals that I set.
I really feel that Margaret genuinely cared about my success and I trust her as a coach, teacher and friend who has given to me in a few months - marketing tools, true career savvy and the ability to make fruitful and wise choices - for a lifetime. I thank her for all she's taught me.

| Before I started working with Margaret and implementing her Career Design Program, I knew exactly where I wanted to go (or so I thought) I knew that I wanted a job in a completely different industry that was at a much bigger salary than I was getting.
Since working with her I have not only attracted more interviews and job offers in an area that is right for me, But I have been able to focus on my life more more than I thought possible.
Margaret is a tireless supporter, a savvy career coach and a lover of life. Her enthusiasm, combined with her bottom-line, results-oriented approach, has done wonders for my professional growth.
She has managed to bring some of my dormant skills to light that I have been longing to use in my professional career and I can't thank her enough for that.
If anyone wants to know more about my experience working with Margaret, I am happier to talk to them or email possibility@gmail.com

| Before I started working with Margaret I was at a plateau in my career. My career had grown but it had left me behind. It was not what I wanted to be and no matter what I did it wasn't making any difference. I was getting more and more frustrated, and knew it was time to reinvent myself and didn't know how to do it on my own.
The results have been amazing and quick. I've previously worked with three other coaches and never accomplished so much in such a short time. All I can say is that Margaret is a 'results-person'. I'd be delighted to speak to anyone who is considering hiring a coach.
I have worked with Margaret on two separate occasions and each time Margaret has been brilliant at helping me put things in perspective and helping me build my career. With her I stay totally focussed and true to the course - she wouldn't let me do otherwise.
Her systems, information, wealth of knowledge are worth every penny of the investment and I did attract a new job almost immediately!
One year later, I am still applying the tools - long lasting effects and I think that is pretty cool. Margaret will actually roll up her sleeves and get to work with you as if it were her own job in question. She's right there with you, creating your personal career identity, brainstorming, coming up with plans and keeping you on track so that you get things done and get the results you need.
Most of all I love the immediate results! I have recommended Margaret very highly and will continue to do so."

| Margaret has taught me to market myself into the job market, turning job opportunities into offers. She was just what I needed to jumpstart my career search, find my calling and land that job. In the four months I've been working with Margaret, I've developed a new CV, had many more conversations with decision-makers and key-influencers, had a complete personal makeover and landed job offers seemingly effortlessly.
The results have been amazing and quick! I've previously worked with other coaches but never achieved so much, so fast.
If anyone wants to know about my experience in working with Margaret then please email me via Margaret.
Collin, Group Operations Director, Building Society, UK |
| Before working with you, I felt that I had no control over the job market - it was unfair and the odds were stacked against me. With your guidance I learned to attract a steady stream of the right meetings that have turned into job offers.
You've helped me to focus on networking in a more specific, focused way and by breaking down the process into individual steps so that it feels less overwhelming. You have provided me with useful and concrete tools to accomplish my career change.
You have helped me develop more self-confidence in myself so that I've come to believe more strongly in the work that I want to do and in my desire to tell people about it. With your input and support (in just three months) I now feel more able to get any job that I want. This is 'light years' away from having my suspicions about any organisation that would have me!"
I am extremely pleased with the results of our collaboration. I now feel able to get the job that I really want.

When I first met Margaret I had been used to the comfortable environment of a large corporate and I must admit that I was nervous at having to 'brave the rigours' of talking to people that I might have once interviewed as potential suppliers!
It was not to be. Margaret immediately made me feel at my ease and never did I get the impression that she was anything but professional and totally focused on my best interests. I must admit that it felt like a great weight had been lifted from my shoulders.
With Margaret's help and advice I learnt to use my big corporate experience to my advantage in developing my own supply-chain consultancy with a profitable business model that has allowed me to make profits from Month 1. I just know that if I had tried to do this on my own I might still be 'inventing the wheel.'
I am extremely pleased with the results of our collaboration and I recommend Margaret's services to my friends. I would be happy to discuss my experience of working with Margaret with anyone contemplating a move from a large organisation into their own business.
Dear Margaret, I don't think I recognise the downhearted, defeatist chap who walked into your office, but what a difference you've created.'

Being faced with the prospect of redundancy after 20 years of working for the one company was daunting to say the least. Fortunately, I had continued to develop my skills, knowledge and qualifications in a number of areas for which there was some visible demand. But where to take them and what to do with them?
There were several avenues open to me that I could see but I could not expend the time or energy to pursue all of them. I needed to determine which were right for me, both professionally and personally, and which were not. The latter determination was probably the most important as significant physical, mental and emotional energy could be lost going the wrong way.
That was were working with Margaret helped enormously. In a methodical but tailored way, we explored many options quickly. Without overly constricting my choices, we eliminated many of the 'dead-ends' and then produced action plans to target those options that were the best fit.
I am now employed in a different type of career in a significantly different industry, but I am using all of my abilities in ways that are exciting and rewarding. Plus I have learnt from Margaret that good careers are a lifetime investment and I am thus investing in myself on a daily basis through continual networking and searching out every opportunity that comes my way.
I no longer feel at the mercy of my employer but in charge of my own destiny.

When I first met Margaret, I had been the Managing Director of a series of Manufacturing Companies and almost 'burnt out' from the constant fight (and losing-battle) in our efforts to compete with foreign employers of cheap labour.
I really thought the battle was lost and certainly that there was every possibility that it might mean that I would never be able to find satisfactory employment again.
Margaret helped me enormously to rebuild confidence in myself, providing me with useful and concrete tools to accomplish my career goals. I've come to believe more strongly in the work that I am doing and in my desire to talk to people about it.
A heartfelt thank you to Margaret for opening up my mind to other avenues in the world of work. I started by believing that the future lay in another corporate role, but now realise that I really can design my own future.
Having experienced another Outplacement Programme some years ago I believe your approach and wisdom offers far greater value. Anyone who needs further proof on how valuable Margaret can be to his or her success is more than welcome to call me so we can talk about it.

When seeking a career consultant, I visited a number of different agencies. Margaret was the only person who asked me how I was! This personal approach proved typical of Margaret. She has tailored her unique advice to my situation with skill and sensitivity.
Before working with Margaret I was having trouble attracting the networking circle that I now know that I should have been concentrating on. Margaret generously introduced me to some sound people from her awesome network and my life took on a technicolour hue, where it had once been only black & white!
In doing so she has enabled me to enjoy this career change period as one of the most positive opportunities of my life to date. I enthusiastically commend her services to professionals at all levels whether seeking an entirely new role or simply reviewing the current direction of their careers.
Not speaking to Margaret about your career could prove to be one of your greatest regrets! Call her now.

Before working with Margaret, I had been idling as a freelance journalist in Paris, submitting good stories and getting great write-ups but always feeling a bit of a fraud because I knew deep down that it was not the right job for me. The trouble was I didn't have a clue what job I might possibly have.
Margaret's expert knowledge helped me identify my niche and create ways to attract what I wanted in life.
Margaret's careers advice really paid dividends in all sorts of ways. People are really impressed by my CV now, and I’ve had all sorts of good things come out of sending my CV to people.
I don’t know if Margaret will remember advising me to take up photography, amongst other great options we brainstormed together, but I did, and in doing so rekindled a passion that I’d forgotten for years.
I’ve now gone professional and am getting a steady trickle of commissions, as well as doing the photographs to accompany my articles. I’m building a celebrity portfolio featuring people like Ronnie Corbett and Linford Christie. So thank you very much Margaret for everything.

I have worked with Margaret three times over the space of eleven years and each time Margaret is brilliant at helping me put things into perspective and in helping me build my business. With her help I stay totally focused on my goals.
Her systems, information and wealth of knowledge are worth every penny of my investment and it was fun. All her information has been totally customised for me, my goals and my business...resulting in the success of me being able to take a twelve month sabbatical!
One year later, I am still applying the tools - long lasting effects - I think that is pretty cool. An added bonus is that we can get things done on the phone, which I especially love as I have so much going on... But most of all I love the immediate results.
It was a pleasure and great fun, Margaret getting to know you and learning about your fabulous adventure. I hope that we can work out a way for me to be part of it, for a long time to come. Here’s to the future and all it’s possibilities!

Margaret has taught me how to market myself, the result was turning job applications in to interviews and a clear understanding for the first time of what I really stood for!
Before working with Margaret, I was spending my time filling in application and going to agencies, daily getting more and more depressed and sensitive to the smallest slight.
It wasn't until someone told me, rather abruptly, that 'I was depressing.' that I decided to take action (I shudder to think of how many people I'd already upset ande whose contact I'd wasted!)
Margaret challenges me to stretch beyond my comfort zone to achieve my goals. Her cheerful, upbeat attitude and positive reinforcement are a big help.
Thank you for Margaret for your help and kindness. A quick note, but I’ll remember for all my life what you did for me. Hope all the best for you. Many Thanks

"Whether you are starting a business or are already in business; a mentor or great business coach is essential. If you are looking for the best then look no further. Margaret is the business coach for you.
Thanks to her coaching, my dream of owning a real career is now a reality. Margaret guided me through developing a clear mission statement that is a source of constant motivation and joy for me.
Together we developed my marketing materials and brochures. With Margaret's guidance I now approach my career with confidence. Getting new and exciting roles is now fun!
I recommend her services to everyone. I'd be happy to share my success story with you.
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity of joining the CareersNet team for your Career Development Workshops for full-time MBAs at de Montfort University and being so supportive. I hope to see you very soon.

When deciding to leave my full-time design position ata high-end firm, I thought 'This is great, I am on my own and people will recognise my talent and training and offer me loads of jobs.
Twelve months later, I was working hard, but struggling everyday to find any job, not just the job I wanted. Granted I hadn't been looking 'all year'. I had spent quite a lot of time frozen into immobility by the futility of the engaging with recruitment consultants and the rest of the job market.
I needed a job and I needed one fast. Am I great designer but what did I know about the job market? Only that it was a frightening, no mercy sort of place.
Since working with Margaret, my life has been unrecognisable. This week alone I have had three enquiries about my long-term plans. In the three months I have been with Margaret, I have doubled my conversion rate of job applications into likely interviews and improves my job offers 200%. Hurray! I no longer feel overwhelmed and I see results...great results!
Margaret taught me how to put a career plan into action. I now have tools that seem natural to implement. Not only have I learned to ask for the job, but how to get my foot in the door, so I can have the opportunity to receive an offer.
Immediately we got started, we created packages, blogs, resumes, plans and marketing documents and even worked on scripts to help me find the correct words and we practiced.
Margaret is insightful, her energy and focus are contagious, her ideas and tools are powerful, and her heart is immense.
Got a great job! Thanks for all your help this year.

Before I started working with Margaret and implementing her Career Design Program I had no ideas what I wanted to do next. I just knew that I couldn't continue to do what I was doing and avoid going mad.
Since working with Margaret I have not only discovered what I want to do through her analysis system, but I also know WHO I want to work with! I used her powerful tools to research my chosen marketplace and talk to the employers and decision-makers that I found.
My networking has taken off with Margaret's personal introductions. I couldn't have done it without the help of the nice people Margaret introduced me to. I also met with some of her consultants who in my opinion were some of the nicest people I've ever met!
She's managed to bring some light on the dormant skills that I've been looking to use in my professional career and I can't thank her enough for that assistance. Working with her has been the best career investment I have ever made and in myself and I will sing her praises to anyone who is out there and needs help!
I got THE job. Thanks Margaret.

Working with Margaret and her colleagues has helped me focus on what I want to do post-MBA and for that I'm very grateful.
Margaret presented a great series of workshops at our business school and we have all benefited in the job market. I understand from our administrator that the number of MBAs having a job BEFORE they complete their course has increased by 44% following the introduction of Margaret's workshops, last year.
Margaret, Thank you very much for your help and guidance through my MBA programme - you certainly went above and beyond the 'call of duty' and I only have myself to answer for any missed opportunities. I just did not realise the value of your brilliant careers advice until it was almost too late for me to take advantage of your availability.
Does Margaret's system work? Yes. Will you benefit from talking to her? Yes. Should you call her. Yes. Yes. Yes.
Feel free to contact me, anytime regarding CareersNet. It is always a pleasure to spread the word.

Peter came to me following the breakdown of his marriage and subsequent job loss. When I first met him he had lost "His youthful good looks" (his description) and was in a state of constant worry. At this point in our first meeting, Peter was so ill with stress that he wanted literally to lie down on my floor.
I was seriously concerned with his ability to cope and gave him some lite advice on recharging his batteries and some exercises to build his confidence as quickly as possible. We also looked at ways of rebuilding a harmonious relationship with his previous employer's and getting the best results for his leaving package. I took over the responsibility of negotiating his support program and Peter was encouraged to put together a strategy for leaving that would put him back in some control.
We quickly built a CV/resume from the multiple projects that Peter had been engaged upon and managed to contract his work back to his employer giving him the 'bread and butter' deal he needed to start his own contracting business. (This contract proved to be more remunerative than his previous full-time role and was for many fewer hours a week. )
Since Peter has rediscovered his direction in life he has been able to attract interesting projects from his many contacts in the industry and is currently having problems fitting them into his full diary. I had to remind him that it hasn't been long since he wondered if if would ever have anything but free-time again!
Enjoying life again as an estimator, Thanks for your help."

James will be the first to tell you that his lack of career direction was causing him to 'wander helpessly' in his career.
From an early age James had been guided by his famous father into a traditional profession that he subsequently had found was not to his liking. Not wanting to upset or overturn his family ambilitions, James was anxious to move away from 'secondhand dreams' to developing his own.
When we started to look at his interests and skills we found a striking resemblance between James' interests and those of his father - both were fascinated by the 'ins and outs' of wine and everything to do with the subject.
So we set about studying wine and began by looking at those organisations that have developed a sense of excellence in wine and wine paraphernalia. It wasn't long before we came across the fact that a national supermarket chain had won most of the coveted 'wine awards' over the previous few years and it was this news that inspired both James and I to analyse the role of supermarkets in the wine industry.
Following some deep research on the subject we developed a target list of a handful of supermarkets and began a networking approach and interview training that was to lead to James successfully being offered a 'fast-track' management appointment (following an assessment centre) at Marks & Spencers Ltd.
"Thank you for all your help and support, I couldn’t have done it without you."
James Pogmore Marks & Spencers, London |

Many thanks for the talk you gave to our Association of MBA’s tonight. I thought it gave a very good overview, as well as a useful way of thinking about the whole Career Transition process, and what is involved in getting started. I liked the way you presented the material – you obviously have an exceptional understanding of the way people tick and how to encourage them to tick the way they want to. Thanks again for your support for Association of MBAs South West.

You were right it's not rocket science but it is a job that is very difficult to do on your own. Wishing you every success, you deserve it. Reginald Bennett |
I went to see several career consultancies when I was choosing who to go with and you stood out as the only one who sincerely asked me how I was doing, personally. All the other ran some sort of heavy duty sales affair that was most off putting, if plausible at the outset. I am very pleased to have chosen you. Thank you for everything. Theresa Gaydon |
Dear Margaret, I thought I would drop you a note to say how much I appreciated the programme that I did with you and I would like to wish you every success in the future, you deserve it. All the Best Robert Meadows |
You may recall you ran a workshop at Rotterdam Business School and I was one of your students. I told you how depressed I was as a Medic working in the NHS and you helped me decide upon my dream job. Well I thought you ought to know that my brother and I have gained funding for our research work in Alzeimer's and we are in the process of setting up a centre of excellence for research. We already have two interns and are arranging a fellowship. Thanks to you we are realising our dream.
We wish you every success, particularly with your brilliant new web site. Dr Siringar Photh |
I thought I would write and bring you up to date with my plan to raise awareness into Leprosy. We have already been awarded a research grant and will be recruiting teachers and educators by the end of the year. Thank you for making us believe it was possible - you were right. Name Supplied. |
